About
My family’s educational journey began in 1992 when I became a mom, to eventually, three wonderful children who were labeled “gifted” by the time they reached fourth grade. With no consistent guidance from our school district, it quickly turned into an exploration – both fun and challenging – as we uncovered all that the label entails and how best to meet their needs. I received my teaching credential in 1992 as well. Since then I have been a part-time teacher, substituting or job-sharing.
In 2005, I was invited to teach a GATE pull-out program. With no curriculum and no suggestions, I created bi-weekly, 2-hour enrichment workshops using student input, parent input, gifted resources, and other high-level thinking materials. As you probably know, gifted learners are often full of enthusiasm and eagerness for an intellectually engaging experience. Teaching these learners can be both rewarding and fulfilling. My workshops strive to provide the perfect balance of social-emotional activities tailored specifically towards GATE families while also pushing learners’ creative and critical thinking skills with fresh new resources; allowing them to come away from each class feeling accomplished yet wanting more!
Join me in chasing that same wonderful learning spark by accessing some incredible materials designed to make your busy teacher’s life a breeze. Let’s have fun as we empower bright minds together!
